How Flutter Agent Kit implements it
Only lib/features/maps/ imports google_maps_flutter. The GoogleMapController lives in the screen State, never in a provider, and every BitmapDescriptor and options object is cached, because rebuilding them is the most common cause of a stuttering map. Marker ids come from a stable domain id, not a list index.
The feature uses no metered Google Maps API. Routes, Geocoding, Places and similar services belong in the project's own backend, and the map key is restricted to the Maps SDK only with a quota cap. The free render targets Android and iOS; the web map is metered and treated as a cost decision.
